In the Trenches

A good trench is an easy way to look polished in comfort. A lot of trench coats are overbearing on my frame but this one from Bebe surprised me at how well it fit. The sleeves are 3/4 length so I don’t have to worry about it being too long and having to roll them up. As an added incentive, it was extremely marked down! I’m not very tall at 5’3″ and find shorter boots to cut me off and make me look even shorter. This mid-heeled pair by Frye are just high enough to make my legs look longer, but not so high that they look like too-short riding boots.  One item I almost always carry with me is a scarf. It’s lightweight to carry and keeps me warm when it gets chilly. This leopard one is one of my favorites because while it is a print, it works as easily as a neutral. Every second Sunday of the month, King Street, one of the main streets in downtown Charleston opens only to pedestrians for four hours. Will and I took advantage of the beautiful weather to eat lunch outside, listen to local musicians jam out,  and take part in my favorite outdoor activity, dog/people watch.
